The Regenerative Journey of Thorny Bamboo Waste | Tune N Turn Shares Its Case Study

This year, Tune N Turn was invited to speak at the National Bamboo Industry Sustainability Forum, held at the Xinhua Forest Station of National Chung Hsing University, where we shared our collaboration with the Longqi Farmers’ Association.

Together, we explored how discarded thorny bamboo agricultural waste can be transformed into practical, everyday products.

Thorny bamboo presents multiple challenges — high hardness, sharp thorns, susceptibility to cracking, and moisture absorption.From raw material selection and process optimization to material treatment and design transformation, we carefully refined each step to restore its value and bring it back into daily life.
