New Taipei City | Green Bamboo Agricultural Waste → Reusable Cup × Eco-friendly Tableware Design
The hillside regions of New Taipei City are home to extensive green bamboo forests, producing high-quality bamboo shoots that are widely consumed in Taiwan during spring and summer.
To maintain healthy growth, farmers conduct annual forest thinning at the end of winter, removing overgrown, aging, and pest-affected bamboo. However, the felled bamboo—often long, dense, and high in moisture—lacks commercial value and is typically discarded or burned, creating management challenges and environmental risks.

Tunenturn Action: Agricultural Waste × Design × Material Transformation
New Taipei City is home to extensive green bamboo forests and is one of Taiwan’s key production areas for bamboo shoots.
These shoots are not only a seasonal staple on local dining tables, but also a vital source of income for farmers.
However, to cultivate high-quality shoots, farmers must carry out annual forest management practices. This involves large-scale thinning and renewal of bamboo groves—removing overgrown, aging, and pest-affected bamboo to ensure sufficient space and nutrients for new growth.
The removed bamboo, often long and high in moisture, is difficult to transport and store. As it does not meet construction-grade standards, it rarely enters existing supply chains and is often discarded or burned, creating landscape management challenges and potential environmental risks.

Material Transformation | Bamboo Waste Is Not Waste,
Just Potential Yet to Be Seen
These bamboo resources are, in fact, a rich source of natural plant fibers—offering high plasticity, low carbon footprint, and rapid biodegradability.
By integrating material innovation with compatible manufacturing processes, we transform bamboo waste into biodegradable material pellets. Through physical crushing, drying, and blending with natural starch, the material is re-engineered into a form suitable for injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion.
With further modification, these pellets can be applied to a wide range of daily products, achieving both structural performance and biodegradability.

Coming soon.
We look forward to meeting you.
Let’s begin a greener everyday life—
naturally, and together, in Taiwan.
Why choose locally sourced bamboo?
Because the value goes beyond the product—
it begins at the source.
Addressing agricultural waste challenges
Reducing the burden on farmers in handling bamboo waste,
while improving the efficiency of bamboo forest management.
Creating products with a sense of origin
By clearly identifying “New Taipei Green Bamboo” on each product,
users understand where materials come from—
bringing warmth and meaning rooted in place.
Building local employment and green value chains
Through local materials and transformation,
we connect agriculture, design, and sustainable manufacturing
into a new circular pathway.
Sharing a sustainable way of living
This is more than a product—
it’s a lifestyle of using with peace of mind
and returning to nature with ease.
We believe
bamboo is not only for food or construction—
it can also become part of everyday life,
a quiet language of the land.
We take harvested green bamboo
and transform it into the cups and utensils you use every day—
so that sustainability is no longer an idea,
but something you feel
in every sip,
and in every meal.
